What We Do


Passionate Indigenous Youth Leaders built O’KANATA to support and promote Indigenous Youth Prosperity throughout turtle island. Through financial and cultural support, O’KANATA aims to assist Indigenous Youth everywhere to succeed in their passions and dreams.

O’KANATA is introducing the Dreamweavers project to assist Indigenous post-secondary students inside and outside the classroom. Through national partnerships and networking, Indigenous youth will have new opportunities for part-time and full-time employment to pursue their careers.

What is Dreamweavers?

Dreamweavers is the name of O’KANATA’s new post-secondary support system, which offers scholarships and bursaries to Indigenous students across turtle island. It will launch in the latter half of 2024 and soon expand to offer Employment opportunities.

I don’t go to post-secondary school. Can I be supported?

We are designing the post-secondary support portal at this stage, but we will soon expand to offer unique part-time and full-time employment opportunities. Stay tuned for more updates and opportunities as they become available.

How do I apply for support?

You can apply for support if you are a verified Indigenous student attending any Canadian post-secondary institution for Fall 2024. Stay tuned to our website and monthly newsletter for when applications open.
